I did my first night dive tonight. Depth was 4 feet, temp was 58, and visibility was about 8 feet.....To the other side of the pool! All of my 15 dives have been in warm water, and today I went out and picked up a 7mm wetsuit and I wanted to see how comfortable I would be. So if anyone would like a newbie to go along with them, please let me know. Thanks

HA, HA,HA,HA, nice night dive i hope you had fun, could you please let us know what kind of animals where you able to spot in that dive, you may want to send some feed back to Reef.

And please feel free to PM me if you want to go out diving, but i will wait just a beat longer right now could be too cold for some people even in a wet suit, i dive dry now, but from July to October 7mm is the way to go.

remember, one of the most dangerous things about night diving is you don't really have good point of reference when doing your ascents. keep an eye on your depth gauge to make sure you are coming up slowly enough....

4' - HAHAHAHHAHA

good start though.... kitting up in the dark is good practice for the 'real' thing. being comfortable in your gear is paramount. and i can guarantee you though.... you WILL love night dives..... it's a magical experience.

Is fun ....4 ......:D

4 feet depth:huh:

Bro, he was in a pool checking his gear.

and for you, deep diver, what you did is great, testing your gear in a controled enviroment, before gettin out in the open water is great, wish you the best of lucks and you are going in the right path.

Regards.

Did you have the pool lights on or off? Night diving is the second greatest thing to do. The first and best is deep diving (in water).

night diving IS the second greatest thing, but the first is NOT open discussion on this board - wink wink, nod nod

HA! Nice one! I did a double take on the 4 foot!

You did well checking the gear and your use of it in the pool. More should follow this example.

Night diving is right at the top of my list. Even if its not the first greatest thing as notably mentioned by Tony and meekal, there surely is nothing like it.
