Ok : that's why I wrote they might have improved since my last stay in 2002.
just make sure you have the AC ones, because the fan rooms were quite basic as I remember.

In Lembeh Straits, I stay at Lembeh resort which I find the resort and the dive operation excellent. Last year I stayed at Lembeh Resort and then did a boat transfer to Bangka and stayed at the Murex resort. I found the diving around Bangka to be some of the best I have done in Indonesia. The Murex is good nothing fancy but has Hot water and AC. This year I did Lembeh resort and then went to Buyat Bay again very good diving...but needed another day of diving to really see it but a bad squall came through which prevented us to go outside the bay.....I have trip reports posted if it helps.

I don't care much about Bunaken but Bangka is really good.
If you want outstanding dive service go to Gangga island resort, not given though, a step or 2 above Murex in comfort.
Murex (used to) have very experienced guides too.

For Bastianos Lembeh, ask for a bungalow facing the strait instead of the lagoon. The rooms facing the lagoon don't cool down as well in the afternoon .... even with A/C.

Seems pretty cool to me and I don't use the A/C.

fan for me, don't need to heat the world by cooling it.

Four of us stayed at KBR a couple of years ago but it was part of a 3 week package so i don't remember the price. It's on Lembah Strait. Lembah Strait is an ABSOLUTE MUST! We're going back next year.
