First Dive of The Year

Ah yes the first dive of the year...going down to Key Largo and trying Silent World Dive Center in a week. Gonna bring my new regulator to try out hopefully it lives up to the hype.

For those who aren't local like myself when are you guys doing your first dive of the year?

Managed to get sick over the holidays so waiting for that to run its course. Hope to get out next weekend to a shallow reef dive in the Miami area to try out the new fins I got for Christmas!

I did a 3 tanker on my buddies boat on Jan 1. We went out WPB and limited the boat on lobster after dive 2. Good times.

I've not been out with Silent World before, but I'm also scheduled to go out with them on the 20th. They have a couple free Dive Against Debris clean-up trips that weekend so hoping the weather cooperates.

First dive of the year was yesterday. Went to Isla del Caño in Costa Rica. Nice way to start the year.

I did AOW at Paradise Springs (Deep, Nitrox, Night) and DeLeon Springs (Buoyancy, Nav). Made for a busy weekend.

Maybe in June when the quarry gets warm enough, I don't need a drysuit. Diving is not as big a thing as it was. Cycling has less overhead, less expense, and way less travel.
