I've used 3 dive ops on Curacao The Dive Bus All West/Go west and Atlantis. All three are very nice friendly ops. Mark and Suzy at the dive bus are great for shore dives and All West is very good for both. The Alice in Wonderland and Directors Bay were two of my favorites but don't miss snorkeling to the Blue Room with All West.

Thanks for the great info here. My husband & I did one dive (tugboat area) when we stopped with a cruise ship this last Spring. We're returning for a 2 week dive vacation next April. I'm trying to soak up all the info!

We've reserved a spot at Atlantis Dive Apartments. Probably dive with several different operators.

you don't have to dive with different operators, Atlantis will take you anywhere you want
we just returned from 10 days at Atlantis and dove 7 days, differnt sites each day, we even went to Westpunt
i would recommend you do the Klein Curacao day trip, ask Jan, the owner, or any of the guides

Did you stay at Atlantis' apartments? Anything to share? We've reserved a place with them in April.

yes we did, we had a 1 bedroom

the apartments are very nice, well maintained and with a really nice view
you only have A/C in the bedroom, for which i suggest you keep the door shut at all times, not only to conserve the temperature but also to keep the mozzies out
you do have a quota of electricity per day, that is free, anything over you pay for it....i have no clue how long it would take to use it up though but we never exceeded it while the A/C run from 8PM to 8AM
the kitchen is fully fitted, except for oven, but in that heat who would want to keep the oven on?
when we got there the frezzer was totally covered in ice, thus was not cooling properly
Donna, the regular maid, is a very nice lady...anything you need just ask her and she will be happy to oblige, the next day she moved all our food in another fridge while she defrosted ours
there is a security guy on the grounds from 10PM (i believe) till 3AM
everyone in the diveshop is very friendly and knowledgeable
they have lockers if you have your own equipment
a supermarket is virtually a minute walk away, sundays closes at 5 though

that's all i can think of for now
if you have any other specific questions ask away

Is the house reef in front of the apartments worth snorkeling or diving? I can see possibly doing a relaxing evening or night dive.
