+1 for the dss set up and all said about tobin. i use a torus 27#. it has the sta built on it. I also use a oxycheq 32# on ti. The oxycheq also has the sta built into it. The biggest + other that what has already been mentioned about dss is thst you can get optional two 4# plates to attach to the plate . the 8# for me is just right for ging from fesh to salt water or from wetsuit to dry suit. For me a slight downside to the tours 27 is that the fill hose is centered on the tank valve. The oxycheq is more on the left shoulder. It is a preeference issue and neither config is right for everyone so look at them both.

That is the one thing I do not like about my DSS wing....

If you think you need/want pockets, try some DR Clipper pockets. I ended up putting two on my harness and they work very well, are inexpensive and double as pockets and a place to put weight if you change wetsuit, etc.

BC Accessory Pockets by Dive Rite - Dive Gear Express

Harnesses- Simple, one-piece webbing. 6 d-rings including the scooter d-ring

Herecy!

Just kidding... I saw someone earlier mentioned not having a D-ring on the right hip, that's only applicable if you wear a can light, scooter D-rings are only necessary if you plan to use a scooter... same as back D-rings (towing scooter). Bottom line, just have as many D-rings as you need, you can alwasy add/subtact them later (unless sewn into crotch strap).

Don't put a pocket on the harness. That really is not a great idea, the BP/W is very streamlined and a pleasure to dive, but pockets make the rig awkward, and are hard to access

Nothing wrong with a pocket on your harness IMO - they're usually threaded onto the waist strap, not clipped on. More flexible than sewn on, cheaper than pocket shorts and won't affect your streamlining to any noticeable degree. Use what works best for you

Had a GUE type diver suggest a pocket, and since I am not planning on getting a cannister light anytime soon it could act like one as far as long hose routing goes. I like the idea plan on doing just that.
