Information v1.20

Upgrade v1.20 is ready to install! In order to install the update, your SDA must be completely desaturated.

Bugfixes:

Imperial units:

* After "resuming", some imperial data was not rounded correctly

Update of dive settings:

* If the dive settings were changed and the views were not checked out with EXIT, the database was not updated with the new settings. After "resuming", the previous settings were not updated with the new settings.

Changes and new features:

Extended range for dive settings:

* lowest possible tank reserve pressure is now 400psi

* deepest safety stop depth is now 20ft

Gauge mode:

* A Gauge mode with stopp watch has been added. An addendum of the manual has to be read before the use of the gauge mode. There is a 48 hour locking period before you can switch back to deco mode after a dive in gauge mode.

ATTENTION:
Firmware v1.08 or newer is necessary on your SDA to install v1.20.

From the addendum:
If a dive was made in Gauge mode and the red “GAUGE” symbol is
displayed, Gauge cannot be switched of (back to deco mode). After
the locking period of 48 hours, the “GAUGE” symbol turns green and
the Gauge mode can be switched back to Deco mode (Gauge Mode
off). The “GAUGE“ symbol on HOME View will disappear.

If the SDA is switched back to deco mode after a dive in Gauge mode, the history will be lost. This means
that the previous Gauge dives will not be considered for the decompression calculations of the next dive.

These two do not make sense together.

If you have been doing a ton of diving and theoretically you have some residual nitrogen, the computer is not going to take that into account. I agree, it could perhaps have been worded in a less confusing manner :)

It's a 'covering their butt' statement, reminding everyone that even if it lets you switch back to gauge mode, that you may have not been 'clear' and to look at the screen before you make the switch. People who are using Gauge mode may or may not be doing more extended profiles and more aggressive diving. it is safe to say that some of those people may not have fully cleared of residual after 48hr when looking at halflife of very slow tissues.

You are right. I've read the specs and max half-time is 640 minutes. Thus 64 hrs would be needed to clear all the compartments (6 times 640 minutes).
