In the market for a new pair of fins. I've read quite a bit regarding fins on other threads. I'm almost 100% sure that I'll buy the ScubaPro Jet Fins. But I have one question....should I buy the XXL fins(size 10 1/2 shoe) or stick with the XL? My current fins(XL) are quite old and they constrict my feet to the point of being uncomfortable. Also, looking for input from local NE divers and what they prefer as a far fins go. Maybe I'll change my mind. Thanks.

Look into Turtle fins. The foot pocket is flexible and large. They only come in one size-XXL. They fit great on my DUI Rock Boots.

Basically they are a copy of the JetFin..

I've heard rumors of the XXL Jetfins for a while, but I've not actually seen any reports that they are being produced yet.

First question is what are you using for footwear? Are you diving wet, or dry with softboots? If so, then XL Jetfins will probably work out ok.

The limit for Jetfins runs just about at a size 9 rockboot. I have absolutely no problem with mine, and I bought my fins off a guy that, I believe, had size 10. If your diving with hard boots, or rockboots, you'll definately want to look at the Turtles.

If your not, let us know what you are using for footwear, and I'm sure someone with a 10 1/2 foot'll chime in.

I have a size 11' foot and, with DUI rock boots, the jets were too small. Right now I have a pair of Mares Quatros with manta spring straps, but, I'm going to get some turtles sooner or later.

With the newer style boots on Drysuits my guy had to up his fin size to XXL from XL. He went with Turtle fins and he loves them.

Thanks for the input. Diving wet w/ soft boots. On the LeisurePro web site, I noticed a choice of XXL for the Jet fins, but it was listed as Out Of Stock. Maybe they don't even exist yet. I'll have to ask around, but with the soft boots XL might be my size.

I got the XL jet fins last year. They are the best! I have the ss springs and dui retro fit suit. I too wear a 10 1/2 Wide. They are the only fin practical (that I know of) for backward swimming, helicopter turns etc.

Well, there's quite a few shops around that carry them. You can probably go try them on. I know Aquatic Escapes in Londonderry, NH carries them... not sure what LDS you use though.

I love my Jet Fins. I have been using them for about 2 years now and have loved every minute of it. I have the original Oceanic spring straps on them, They are great, rugged, and will last forever. I use the XL's right now . I have recently purchased a Drysuit so I am going to purchase the XXL's which come out before the new year. Scuba Pro is making the XXL's and many dive shops are taking orders right now. I would prefer using a pair of the XXls Jets over the turtle fin xxls. I like the Jet fins design alot better even though it differs slightly.
