fins recommendation

I must admit that in over 50 years of diving I think I've only owned four different types of fins. Currently I use the Apollo Bio Fins with spring straps for local diving and US Divers (Aqualung) Blades when I travel (they are lighter and are a little better in currents).
 
I'm a novice diver, and want to buy my own fins - open heel type. Can you recommend some good ones? I've been reading and looking online. They're so overwhelming..
I don't plan on diving in strong current (since I'm a novice). I'm looking for something all-around that I can travel with. Thanks!

Just get some Mares Avanti Quattro fins and spring straps and be done with it. They are fairly light being thermoplastic and durable and reasonably powerful and can do any type of kick used in SCUBA. They are often priced very well also.
