Finished!

Just finished up my PADI DM this last week. My instructor signed off on Wed and I mailed my app in on Friday. I've been working on it for 15 months, off and on. It feels great to have it done!

Thanks everyone. It is a very comprehensive program. The mentoring relationships you build with your instructor(s) was the most valuable part of the program to me. When I started it I primarily wanted the knowledge development from the program, but have since decided to "work" as a DM, at least for awhile. I really like the two instructors who ran the program and I'll be DMing for them primarily. I won't be working as a shop DM.

Who knows ... maybe I'll look to pursue becoming an instructor some day. It might be a nice way to earn a little bit extra on the side, especially once I retire.
