So here it is SS bolt snaps, cave line, etc....before you jump on me about the extra webbing...I don't want to finish cutting the webbing until either DIRF or until I dive with someone more experienced than I and I am positive I will not have to re-rig it if I cut it too short... I fixed the d-ring height problem and have it pretty squared away when I am in my 5mm full...

How much slack should be in the shoulder straps? Should I be able to get a couple fingers in there? Slide them off without too much trouble?

Thanks!

BTW, just wanted to share the fact that my LDS rocks... I went in there today and my old OW instructor (dives semi-DIR) and another DM (DIR) were there and really helped me out. I came in with the intention of just buying a couple o-rings and stuff, but they had me get my gear out of the car (I had not bought any of it from them....all online - EE, LeisurePro, and Simply Scuba) and we all sat in the back room and put everything together and tested it...really class act guys. I decided to buy a wetsuit and a tank (wasn't planning on getting them until later) on the spot to show some support...

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet :)

If you're not carrying a lift bag, you can remove that backplate padding - it's just an extra piece of gear to clean and dry otherwise. It makes no real difference to comfort (maybe unless you're diving with no shirt in 80F water).

Looks good, def. a couple fingers in the straps, should be able to get it off pretty easily. I cut my webbing a bit short, but it does not matter too much unless carrying a primary light. Extra webbing can go over to the front and tuck in the crotch strap.

Depending on available cash, a scout backup tucks in really well on the rig.

Kudos on the dive store, that to me is the type of thing LDSs need to do to compete against online marketers. I would buy more stuff locally if I had received that type of service.

Since you are in the Fund. class that would be a good idea to not do too much as there always seems to be some little tidbit that someone in person can tell you but does not come across on the web.

Looks good O-ring.

You should have strain reliefs on all the hose connections (hose to first stage and hose to 2nd stage).

I got a couple of PINK ones left over from my wife's reg if you want them...HEHEHEHE, see you tomorrow.

Herman,
You trying to get me ostracized from the DIR diving community? I wonder what JJ would say if I showed up to DIRF with pink hose protectors on my rig...actually, that would be really funny...if I can muster the cajones I may just do it..

See you tomorrow!

What's wrong with Pink? I had to use my g/f's pink light as a backup this weekend. It looked kinda funny strapped under my arm like that. I think I got a couple of strange looks at Ginnie and Peacock because of it. LOL.
