John D. Craig and Morgan Degn's book had slightly different titles when it was published in the USA and then in the UK:


1. John D. Craig and Morgan Degn (1965) Invitation to Skin and Scuba Diving, New York: Simon and Schuster.

2. John D. Craig and Morgan Degn (1967) Introduction to Skin and Scuba Diving, edited by Brian Hesketh, London: Cassell.

Simon and Schuster used the term "An Invitation to...." in a few of their "Fireside Library" series of books.

He was first married to Gloria as noted in the book- He never ever mentioned her in any conversation
As long as I knew him he was married to a very gracious wonderful lady named Millie
They had two daughter who are both now probably in their 60s-70s
Last report - one lived in Phoenix the other in Houston - (as I recall)
John D Craig passed away August 30. 1997 in Phoenix, interned in California

His name was John Craig with no middle name or initial He added the letter "D"

John & Max Gene Nohl developed and introduced Helium -into diving

WW11- USAF- filmed on all fronts

The book was a run-- way best seller and was translated into 17 different languages plus a braille edition
If interested in a very historic book it should not be difficult to acquire one of the editions.
