James you have such a great appreciation and knowledge of LR you should volunteer your time there as a guide
Little River Spring is located 3.5 miles (5.5 km) north of Branford. From the intersection of US 27 and US 129 in Branford, travel north on US 129 for 3.1 miles (5 km). Turn west (left) on CR 248 and travel 1.7 miles (2.7 km). The spring is located on the south (left) side of the road.

Go there. Is that good enough?

Go there. Is that good enough?

:rofl3: that's better than I was expecting.

Made my first dive as a cave dive today at Little River. No drills or anything, just enjoyment. Overall a good dive, however, the 2 other guys in the class buddied up together, so I buddied up with my instructor. I have to admit, I kept waiting for him to throw something at me. He never did, nor even intended to, but that feeling was still there. I sat out the second dive today to just rest & chill out today. Tomorrow planning to do 1- 2 more dives & then home on Sun.

Thanks to everyone for the congrats & also for those who gave me support & ideas to help me along.

Awesome! I remember that feeling when making non-class dives with my instructor, too! :D

Little River is a great dive, especially now with the flow low. Plus, it's got so many options for different types of dives, nice little jumps, pretty tunnels, and great summer topside wildlife :D Enjoy!

It's also interesting to note how many "100th" dives are made there to qualify for the Abe Davis award. I've always wondered if it's intentional, based on the award's namesake. :idk:

Dive safe,
Shirley

i'm sorry to have missed meeting you last weekend, tammy. we were at react in the morning, but went to the megadive in the afternoon.

I would have loved the chance to me you in person. We kind of did the opposite. We dove Madison Blue in the morning & then went to REACT in the afternoon. I'm certain we'll eventually cross paths. It's not a huge community down there.:D

Just got my C-card today!!! They misspelled my name on it, but who cares? Its close enough. I worked my butt off for it.

Greetings Tammy I am certain that the "FULL CAVE" is not misspelled!
Once again congratulations as with all accomplishments this is but one more hurdle you will determine to conquer.
It has become so very obvious to me that when we strive to train to a higher level there are always new areas to train for as well. I was not fully aware of the different specialties for Cave. I am very aware of them now!

My travel has changed a bit but am shooting for a once a month run for Dec., Jan., and Feb. that is as long as funds and my wife hold out.
You can not replicate actual cave environment! You dive to that level in OW but it is not the same!
So for now I will pretend and listen to the others who enjoy it year around!

Safe diving and hope to see you often in Cave country!
CamG Keep diving....Keep training....Keep learning!
