I'm probably not going to worry about the name misspelling,..... adds to the interest:D.

As it looks, I will be doing the same this winter, traveling down to dive. I get a minimum of a week off every 5 weeks (just how our rotating schedule works out). If I take vacation before that week off, then I will have even more time off. I have a buddy, who is a very experienced cave diver, who just recently retired & wants to get in as much cave diving as he can.

Even though OW is not the cave environment, it is surprising how much I can actually practice there, at the local quarry. Buoyancy & propulsion- if not done right will stir up the silt, off the bottom in a heartbeat. I like to hover & cruise around just a couple inches off the bottom to work on those skills. Reel work- there's plenty of rocks (its a quarry....) & other stuff to practice tie- offs; sometimes gets very creative. Makes it even more interesting doing it in thick gloves. I even practice following the line with eyes closed. I've done some night dives at the local quarry, that looks a whole lot like cave to me. Its weird, the similarities.

I was just looking, I'm only a few hours away from you. I am about an hour away from Evansville, IN on the KY side. Yes, hope to see you around also!

Tammy, who was your instructor?

Tim

P.S. Congrats... Hard work pays off...
