also why is the standard banked mix down there 30% EANX any reason why>?

The weather and conditions can change rapidly. If you had a bunch divers using 32 or 36 your depth choices could be greatly reduced. 30 gives the most flexibitlity with depth. Sometimes I show up with 32.5 and once had to stay shallow compaired to the sand. I will be diving in NC for the another week for the 5th time with Olympus Divers end of June.

The standard bank is 30 cuz its a good catch all mix. You can have a custom blend made for you since you have a little time before you go.
Consider renting a computer from Olympus, they got them. You're not gonna get a lot of bottom time on the deeper wrecks without it.

You don't always know which site you will end up at when you leave the dock. 30% keeps customers from doing anything stupid. They fill a ton of tanks each night in the summer and can bank 30% for fast fills. Custom mixes take longer. No one will hastle you if you bring a different mix, it's just up to you to make sure it's appropriate for the dive.

I had just returned from my first trip to NC wreck diving last weekend May 19th and 20th. Wow what a great time ! We dove the U-352 on the first dive, and I must say it was my favorite, Viz was about 40 Ft and temp was about 68. Air temps were very cool and windy, so everyone was a bite chilled after the dive. Seas were kinda ruff, with a small surface current. our second dive was the Aeolus, Viz had droped down to about 15 ft and bottom temp was 63, a good wreck, but didn't get to see to much, i did manage to see a sand tiger go by, wonder how many more were in the area checking me out. LOL. On Sunday we attempted to go to the Naeco, but the seas wouldn't corrapiate, and conditions was just to ruff. Anyway a few return trips are in order.I find myself enjoying wreck diving more and more.
