to the much talked about Scuba Board! I've been viewing & enjoying the forums. Seems like a great bunch. Looking to learn & hopefully contribute.
I'm in Vancouver BC, certified in 2002, now at Rescue Cert.
Most of my "local" diving has been done on Vancouver Island.
Totally addicted and everything takes a back seat to SCUBA.... thats where the *scuba*princess* comes from.....really...... :10:

Happy diving everyone!

I will be visiting Victoria this summer an hope to dive once or twice.I would welcome any suggestions of good places to dive.
Thanks

Heini

Welcome to SB Princess...Have Fun....Greetings from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba..

Thanks for the welcome armyscuba.
Heini, some popular dive sites near Victoria are the Ogden Point breakwater, Ten Mile Point and Race Rocks. Race Rocks is accessible only by boat and Ogden Point dive centre charters there. See http://www.divevictoria.com/ They also have artificial wreck reefs to dive there.
Also if you have time, try making a trip up island a few hours and go to Campbell River/Quadra Island for some incredible drift dives with amazing life & carpets of colour. Check out http://www.abyssal.com/

Welcome to the board from the cold waters of New England USA. Have fun here and dive safe. Yeah I know, it's cold up there too :)

Glad you found us! This is a great place to spend your SI, but watch out, it's addictive!

Western Canada is a place to look for your other westerners....
