Had a blast with CrackedConch on Sunday. Taking into consideration the reports on low viz in the Gulf and the swamp-water in Hudson Grotto, we decided to make a day of it at Ginnie and Devil's Den. I had some weight issues - as I had anticipated - and once Cracked help me sort those out we had a nice day of diving. Both sites were relatively vacant with the exception of a small class at each. We pretty much had the Den all to ourselves shortly after entering the water. I enjoyed Ginnie but the Den was definitely the standout.

Special thanks goes out to Cracked for putting up with a rookie! :D Thanks again man. I'll keep you posted on the weekend of the 17th.

I had a great time too!! I've never seen those places so empty before--the viz was great and nobody crowding us out!

You might technically be a rookie, but you dive like a pro Skim... Good buoyancy, trim and breathing rate.

The view from underwater at the Den when the beams of sunlight shine through the opening in the top of the cavern and penetrate down in the water is amazing. Wish I had my camera yesterday.

Thanks for putting up with me...looking forward to getting some shark's teeth next time.
