Yeah, that's it. I've always liked Otter Cove. Great plant life, but the kelp can get piled up on the beach - which ends up producing a really lovely smell.

There's surf at Breakwater?!

BTW, Lovers is nice as you've been told. I can only say I saw my first otter and seal there. Wonderful experience to see them watching you watching them. It can be very nice and calm there. It definitely makes a difference in population between begin dive and end dive. On a nice day, the empty beach you walked in off, is now covered in people looking at the nut walking out of the water. Meanwhile you're watching their kids with no exposure protection frolicking in the ice water. :-)

Scuba Susie:
Hey guys,
Thanks for the tips on Lover's. Nice to know others can appreciate where you are coming from. We might try Monestary but I would rather go with someone who has done it for my first time. I hear the entry/exit can be really fun! :) Hey, it can' be worse than getting some of the OW students thru the surf at Breakwater....or maybe it can.?!?
Thanks guys,
Susie

Buy the Video "Monterey Shore Diving" there's a ton of great shore diving info on that DVD. It's also great to watch on days ya can't dive! :) They usually have it in stock at MBDC.
