Be able to do both.
 
If you are doing photography, that's actually the perfect position to avoid damaging anything below while concentrating on what you are shooting.

when doing anything, that's basically the ideal trim position. I don't know anyone who is flexible enough to be in that position and get their fin tips below their body unless they have the idiotically long freediving fins....
