I'm just about to bring my new compressor into regular service and am working on the final configuration of everything. Currently my filter towers are attached to one end of the compressor unit (Hypress Horizontal). When doing some test fills, I noticed that the inherent vibration of the compressor is being transmitted through to the towers. The compressor isn't off balance or shaky, but I can see the vibration in the top of the 27" filter housing, for sure. The pressure gauges and shorter towers don't seem to show any evidence of the vibration - just the tallest one.
Is this an issue to be concerned about? Is that vibration likely to impact the life of the filter housings? Cause any other issues I should think about? If so, I can make the tower moveable such that it hangs on the compressor during storage, but off it during operation. If it's not likely to cause issues and is just a fact of life, then I'll focus my time on other parts of the fill apparatus.
