I am not that wild about having to put on long pants for dinner.......however, the OG experience does keep my non-diving spouse asking: "When do we get to go back to Cozumel .... it sure has been a long time".

Now, what is THAT worth?

Soooo, for those of you who have stayed there, what is the best way to book for the cheapest rate?

Funjet? Apple? Expedia? Fiestaamericana.com website?

Expedia seems to have the best savings for a flight/hotel package. There is no AI option included but so what? If someone can find me a better deal, please share. I'm dying to go back this winter.

I can understand no swimsuits or flip flops for dinner,

but no shorts? Surely dinner there can't be that "formal" ?

Flaming colors that you wear with a t-shirt type of shorts. Dress shorts seemed to be OK with them. When I was there, dinner was truly a pretty formal affair.

Mind you, there was possibly 6 other couples there by the time we dined, so I'm not sure how EVERYONE dressed, but after several nights you'd think I would have seen at least one poorly dressed bum if there was one to be had :)

I didn't wear a jacket, just a shirt with a collar.

I quite liked the place for the dinners themselves.

Last year you needed long pants & some sort of dress shirt for the alacarte restaurant but khaki shorts & t-shirt were OK for the buffet.

1. Has anyone ever booked this hotel throught Funjet? If so what type of room do you get?

2. How much is the cab fare to town?

3. Do you have to dress in anything other than shorts, t-shirt, and flip flops for dinner?

thanks

Always book a room through a travel agent but not through Funjet. Always get the Casita Suite which includes a continental breakfast each morning. Shoes are always required.

Cab fare to town for two is 60 pesos

Don know about dinner. Never eat there. Always eat in town.

Have a great time.

Have you looked at Bay Adventures?

I don't know about FA, but from what I have seen posted here, some of the southern resorts definitely require long pants for dinner. It's yet another reason for me to avoid them... ;^)

ROFLMAO!

Absolutement. This is a forum about Cozumel, innit? ;^)

When I am on Cozumel, I have no desire to don a pair of long pants - ever. YMMV, of course.

You mean people actually take long pants to Cozumel :06:
How quaint :)

I got my package thru American Airlines vacation site. I think I got a good deal. Family of 4 from Portland for 6 nights at FA, all inclusive including air and transfers to FA.

As already mentioned, $6 to town.

Only if you are eating in the reservation only fancy restaurant. There I think I might have worn pants, can't really remember. I do remember the food being quite good.
