The OP said he was going to CCV. If Honduras has banned glowsticks, then my bad. Sorry.
No, my bad. I looked at the original post and promptly forgot he'd said CCV.
So. for the OP, it is true but irrelevant that Bonaire does not allow chem lights.
Of course, if he is going to spend money and ever go anywhere else besides Roatan, maybe he should still steer away from chem lights!

y
Some dive ops don't allow them because they believe they may end up as plastic waste in the ocean or landfill.
yup - BOnaire - not allowed

I was considering using one of those Innovative Scuba flashing water-activated tank marker lights on an upcoming night dive, but was afraid it would drive other divers crazy. Have people found that to be largely true?

I don't find them annoying at all.....It allows me to readily id where my buddy is located. I use one on every dive, regardless of night or day and have never had anyone complain they were annoyed by it. I just keep it on my BC.

Compared to the video lights turning night into day, most flashers are not annoying. Of course if you used a real strobe like boats often hang, that would annoy everyone, but especially the diver wearing it :p

these are my absolute favorite tank lights i use a short loop of bungie tied through the ring then put over tank valve.i have like 4 of them green is the brightest with blue a close second. there is no other diving tank light that compares. they also make a version with a metal cap for depths past 200ft.

You have "like 4 of them" ??? is 4 to many to know definitively that you have to estimate?

Just poking fun.
