I'm buying a hood, and I figure it's probably a good idea to try them on, but lots of places stick with one or two brands so it would be difficult to try many of them on. I've heard complaints that some hoods are very constrictive on the neck, and I really don't like that- even just my wetsuit irritates my neck before I get under water. I was just curious what some people think is the most comfortable hood they've owned or tried?

i am currently using a mares tri hood 6.5mm
keeps me warm and comfy!
the water is up to 60* now so i will be switching to my "beanie"
shreck hood w/ ears and chin strap
...i like to keep my head covered and warm water by my ears...
oh yeah,and i'm bald!!!!
click on my photos and you can see pics of hoods!!!
have fun
yaeg

For me hoods vary, I love my whites/barefoot 5mm H1 when in a dry suit and I also love myuber thin 3mm microprene when diving wet.
