AAArrghhh.... I just got a vyper air, and was hoping i can slide my SK7 compass on the strap like i've done on geckos. Silly me, forgot to check the straps as its too fat to slide the compass on.

Do i go for self fix? cut the strap narrow? Cut the compass boot wide? Or just wear em side by side...

It never occurred to me to wear both a computer and compass on the same wrist strap.

Why not wear the SK7 separately from the vyper air?

If you need a wristboot, try the one that Deep Sea Supply sells for the SK7. It works great.

If you don't want to ship something from the US to Thailand, I guess you could try to attach bungee cord to the SK7 somehow.

Why don't you just use the electronic 3-D compass built into the Vyper Air? It has a 45 degree tilt which surpasses that of the SK-7.

I think its pretty convenient having the comp and compass on same strap, just have them 90 degrees apart, so simple twist of the wrist gets you where you want. Plus I find it easier to strap on and more comfortable having only one strap on my wrist than two. I've looked at the DSS boots, not sure how to get it to thailand efficiently. Don't feel like paying more for shipping than the cost of the actual item.

I prefer the physical compass over the watch one. I spent a summer trying to get used to my D6 electronic compass and never got used to it, hence the SK7. Though the d6 doesn't have much tilt range.
