Hey All,

I am looking to pick up a new pony bottle. I really am not a fan of the Long 19cu Catalina bottle.

Does anyone make a fatter bottle?

Thanks,

luxfer al30/40 are both fatter. al40 is a good size because you can use it for a deco bottle later on and consequently better resale

if you want fatter but not longer, luxfer used to make an al27, but you have to search around for those

Yes, but they're also longer.

Catalina makes a AL S53 which is 1.5" longer than a 19 and definatally fatter. I'm not sure I have ever seen one in the wild though.

S53 7.25x19.2

Curious. Why not the "long" 19. Most guys like it longer (down boys  ) Seriously, most of the male dives on SB seem to think the longer ponies trim out a little better. This of course assumes you plan to sling it.

I did my first cavern "Paradise Springs" with a sling, flowed by "Hudson Grotto", and a few others. I just felt uncomfortable the whole time. Not sure if I am going to Mount it on the Back of my Ranger, or what yet. I thought I would at least look into my options.

Honestly, most of the time once I get it in the water the tank disappears. 13,19, 30 I hardly know they are there. I wonder if it was the way it was rigged, Or the attachment points with the BCD.

I've got a steel LP Faber 27 which is short and squat - only 14.43" long (same as a Catalina 13cf) and 5.46" in diameter - 11.7 pounds - buoyancy full negative 2.95 / empty negative 1.07. Hydro 12/2013 (plus hydro so 10% overfill) and current vis. I would be willing to part with it. PM me if interested.
