Hello. Im new to diving and am trying to decide what thickness farmer john wetsuit to get. I will be doing the majority of my diving in the Santa Barbara area. I was thinking 7mm overalls and a 5mm jacket, or should i go with a 7mm jacket instead? Any thoughts are appreciated. Sorry for beating the newbie wetsuit topic to death.

7 mm. No question.
You can always loosen a zipper or seal if you overheat. If you're too cold, you have to cut your dive short and/or suffer.
