The Odyssey is about 100-120' deep and is located between BIBR and AKR (Sandy Bay) on the North side. It is one of the newer wrecks (sunk 3-4 years ago) so not a lot of interesting growth yet. It is a fun one for photos as it has a table and benches you can sit on and pose if you bring a beer can with you. I actually prefer this wreck to the El Aguila (also about 120' deep) that is right by AKR. The Odyssey is still undergoing changes as it settles in- every trip things change a little The El Aguila is the wreck everyone goes to on the North side- there is a large free swimming green moray that is blind on one side and is extremely friendly- he will swim right up to you and is very used to divers (I've never seen anyone feeding him, but I would be very surprised if someone wasn't). The Prince Albert wreak in front of CCV is a much smaller wreak and easy dive, and also the best encrusted- makes it the most colorful wreak! Check with FI about the North side wreaks- I'm sure they do El Aguila and may arrange to do the Oddysey for you.

Was at Fantasy Isalnd in May of this year. Take cactus juice or buy it at the airport. Its the only thing that works with the no-see-um's. The dive operation is top-notch, sea life varied and abundant. Had some rough sea's some days, and the currents were sometimes very strong. Food was OK...not great, except for lobster night. Hope to return soon.

jghflash:
Doc, we're going back in March........what are the three best restaurants?

On the West End be sure to try the Argentine Grille and the "Garden of Eatin" (Cuban/Chineese). Just 5 mins. East of CCV & FIBR is "The View".

The three offer the best that Roatan has to offer, are very moderately priced, and offer an inviting atmosphere.

The old standby's of Geos and Romeos aren't bad, but you feel like you're eating in Ohio. The Franch Harbour Yacht Club is also a good choice, but pretty milque toast as well.

I'll 2nd the vote for 'The View'! Well worth the drive.
Got to admit it's one of the things I do miss having moved over to Utila.
Oh well, Carl is opening a new place over in La Ceiba as well, so I'll still get his nummy creations on my shopping trips!

The View - Closed Sun/Mon.
Aregentean Grill - Closed Wednesday
Not sure what days Diane has The Garden of Eatin open, but I'm sure someone else here may know.
