Through my travels I remember hearing about a lawsuit brought by the family of a deceased Public Safety Diver for failure to provide a drysuit or for failure to train in the use of a drysuit. The PSD had gotten sick from contaminated water. I want to say it happened up north somewhere. Can't find any info on it could someone please point me in the right direction. Thanks

I can save PSDVR the phone call... I have NEVER heard anything like this and I try hard to keep my finger on the pulse of public safety diving. There have been several law suits in the PSD community and the most recent one involving "training" concerned Paul Jolliff in Indianapolis. There is another suit in the works in the SE U.S. but nothing is similar to the scenario that is described by PSDVR.

There have been several workers comp claims from PSDs being contaminated/infected because they didn't have dry suits but I do not know of a civil suit.

If someone knows anything different, please chime in.

PSDVR, you may take your inquiry to the dry suit manufacturing community or to Steve Barsky.

Blades Robinson

Thanks for the help guys I'll keep on looking.
