Faber tank - trying to figure out size

The 58 is the serial number within the lot...

The 58 is the maximum cc expansion during a hydro for it to keep it's plus 10 percent overfill. With 10% overfill it is a 3000 psi tank. If it loses it's "plus" on a subsequent hydro, it becomes a 2730 psi tank.

If you can find the diameter, I can probably look up the capacity. Since it is a 3AA tank, it is much heavier than the more modern Faber HP tanks.





Wd8cdh, there are two 58's in the stamping. the 058, which appears to be part of the serial number

and the REE58 which is the "Rejection Elastic Expansion" (in cubic centimeters) that I described in post #2
 
Yes, I was refering to the 58 after the REE, not the 058 above it.

I have double checked my info on Faber tanks from that era. It's most likely one of the two tanks mentioned in post #9. Both were made in that time period.
