Faber Hot Dip Galvanized Tanks - Anyone Have Experience With New Ones?

I can offer weights on the 3 HP80s and 3 HP100s that I own. Average weight full is 37.6 lbs for the HP80 and 45.3 for the HP100. I can't give buoyancy weights but I am a few pounds negative with an almost empty 100 with a 5 mil wetsuit and a kydex bp/w and I am tall and slender. My wife is as well with her 80 and she is not as slender as I am. They seem to be around 3 pounds heavier than the claimed weight of the same tanks by faber that are painted.
 
I bought 2 Faber hot dipped hp117s last month. No issues to report upon inspection and filling. Great tanks so far.

Three pounds seems a large increase in weight. Does anyone have detailed specs on weight differences? Understanding that galvanized is very durable.
 
I'm learning that any kind of service in this game is no better than a trust me dive and perhaps worse. I will learn to do all my own reg service and I'll test the air for CO and O2, especially when I didn't pump it myself. One of the biggest reasons I bought my own fill setup is because of the whole "taking the tanks in the back to fill them" thing. Not knowing how well any of it is maintained just leaves me uneasy and the more I learn about the system I bought the more I realize that I need to learn more and test more and inspect more and not just blithely breathe whatever somebody brings out to the boat or car. "It'll probably be ok" is not comforting. Now the truth is it probably will be ok and I'm probably more at risk driving to the dive shop to pick up my tanks but it's a feeling of safety I'm after. Real safety is harder to come by I suspect.

@Rred if it has more thermal mass, it will get just as hot and stay hot longer unless there is air or water moving around it. If it is stationary, it will behave about the same at least perceived. With a thermometer it may change, but likely too hot to really feel the difference.

@MichaelMc 3lbs sounds about right. Zinc is REALLY heavy and almost as dense as steel. Adding 10% to the weight with as thin as the walls on steel tanks is wouldn't take much and as said above there is lot to lot variation in the tanks themselves

On the heat thing, my PST's which are hot dipped do get hotter faster than my Fabers when filled at the same rate. I filled a set of double 100's from empty in about 10 mins that had about 500psi of O2 in them, so just over 300psi/min and they were hot enough to not be able to touch for about 30 minutes afterwards. Granted it was 90F outside and I was filling in the garage of a firehouse, but the Faber LP85's that were filled at the same rate on the same whips were not nearly as hot so I suspect they dissipate heat much better
