I think someone forgot to read the instuctions on how to do that ;) Isn't there a rule how far out you have to take it?....I remember when we took Fritz out, everybody took a hand full and gave him to the sea.

...an older thread about scattering ashes: http://www.scubaboard.com/showthread.php?t=83273

Hmmmm. That really is something. You can look at it another way. It was just another diver, but in a different form. Still, I guess whoever did it didn't think about what the "alive" divers would feel upon discovery. Spreading the ashes would have been best for all, I think.

This is exactly what's in my will...... I wouldn't want to be in a box. I'm thinking the whole part of a reef thing sounds a lot better..

Yeah me too, that is the meaning of ashes to ashes ets., isn't it? you can't rejoin the circle contained in plastic.....

It was in 35 feet of water sitting on top of a rock! The top was open and it was "milking" out so I guess the first good swel of the winter will fix things. Hope it dosen't end up on the beach!

I heard about a company that will mix your ashes in with cement and pour a cone with holes in it and place it on a reef so it grows into the reef. Interesting but Im not sure we should mess with the reefs like that either. Your dead, dump the ashes wherever you choose and make room for new people. :11:
