Several here have mentioned the Cuan Law. My wife and I and two friends went on a 6-day on the Cuan in February. My wife was the only non-diver on the boat, but she had a blast. Scenery, weather, food, crew and everything else were awesome. In fact, on one dive where all of us were diving a wreck, one of the DMs who stayed on board got my wife to take a test dive - she loved it so much that she now has her own C card and we're going to Costa Rica for a week next month.

I like Mblazers approach. My fiance went with me to Roatan, got certified and was later my dive buddy on our trip to Fiji where we were married and then on to the GBR and a week on the spoilsport. She gets seasick easily but she took the med you put behind your ear (scalopine or something) and she had a great time.

Scopalamine patches do work well. Usually you'll only need them for the first couple days and then most people have their sea legs under them and are fine. I like what you all are saying about getting the non-diving spouse to "try" a test dive - that's usually all it takes to get them addicted. Is scuba diving not the greatest thing on EARTH?

Cool stories - my hope is to be married again (just got divorced) sometime in the distant future and hopefully it'll be to someone who enjoys diving.
