My wife and I wish to travel to Fiji , I will be diving and my will not due to a Disability which precludes her from returning to diving [which she loved]
I will try to keep this brief.
We are trying to find a Resort in Fiji that will cater to both of us.
When we traveled to Bali this year she really struggled with the state of the footpaths, having to go on the road to pass a car parked on the footpath with scooters zipping past etc, so the 2nd trip trip there I did solo, as she said "never again, too hard".
The big thing for her was she wished to use the pool at this resort [and others we have been to] and not one has rails to assist people into the pool, we all know the type of infinity pool these resorts have.
I have spent hours looking at resorts in Fiji that can assist us.
Can anyone on here help find what we require, few steps, easy access in and out of the pool with rails, and good diving a given?
Thanks in advance.

Taveuni Dive Resort hits all your needs, except for the pool handrails. All the paths are nicely paved and the resort is very close to the White Wall and other very good sites

I can vouch for Taveuni Dive Resort as well. I've seen them accommodate disabled or injured divers on my trips there. You can arrange for a short truck ride to and from the dive boats if walking across the road and up and down the hill is a concern. All the walkways in the actual resort are nice textured concrete so pretty hard to lose your footing on. Plus it's a small resort so there's not much walking required. None of the 8 rooms are more than about a 1 minute walk from the restaurant/bar/pool.

In any case, email them and lay out your needs and I'm sure they'll send you a detailed response.

Plus if you do go there, take the side trip to the pearl farm. Well worth the journey

Paradise Taveuni would work I think. Possibly Volivoli Beach Resort too. Both have easy pathways, are small and access to pools down steps. Hand rails aren't common in Fiji so sloping low gradient steps are the best you can possibly get. Where Fiji might fail a little in these facilities there will be staff members desperately eager to help your wife in and out of the water. The diving on Rainbow Reef is very beautiful and Paradise Taveuni excels as it's got a very good house reef you can explore at your leisure. The house reef, accessed by steps, includes blue ribbon eels, a lawn of garden eels and big snapper schools. Volivoli Beach Resort has an easy beach to manage and there is a large pool - the grounds are sloped however, but it could be worth a look.

Thanks guys, Booked Taveuni Dive Resort in May for 9 days.
Ticks most of the boxes.
Bali was cheaper but not so easy for people with a disability to get around, as we found out last year, 2nd trip to Bali I went solo.

Edit: date change to May from April

OK, change of plans .
Cancelled the trip to Fiji and now diving 10 days in Vanuatu.
Half the price of Fiji.
Staying here, it has handrails into the pool and ramps for my wife to move around.

Ha ah ah ha ha maybe you should watch more television sooner

I do watch the news every day, I know about the :
"Australians are being cautioned about travel to Vanuatu following a 7.2-magnitude earthquake that struck Port Vila and nearby areas on Dec. 17, 2024."
I have been in contact and keeping up to date and I do have the option to cancelling , the deposit [only paid the deposit] is refundable up to the 16th of April.

I do have one other option in May.
