Well September 3rd has finally came and gone....
Had a nice trip planned and booked to dive the San Diego. Booked the trip for 6 people. Didn't collect money from anyone because what can go wrong??? Who isn't going to show up for this trip??? Then a little storm called Ernesto was headed our way. Now I am getting the phone calls: "Don't think I'm going to make it", "Not going because of the weather".... Ummm I booked the trip and if the boat sails and you guys don't show up, I'm responsible!!! So was on the phone with the captain and I totally understand his point of view. Finally Saturday came and the dive was called. Learned a very good lesson from that. So the forcast for Sunday was looking good. And since the trip was called, who wants to goto Dutch Springs??? Got a few guys and we had a plan.
Its now Sunday morning, I wake up 15 minutes late. Pack the truck and hit the bank. I realize that I need gas (haven't touched it in a few days, on vacation). Get gas and finally take that drive. Doing 70mph on I-78 with cars passing me, I didn't think anything of the trooper I saw on the side of the road. next thing I know, I see those red and blue lights of a NJ Trooper crusier. Pull to the side. "Good morning sir. Do you know why I stopped you"? "Well officer speeding. I was keeping my speed around 70, with other people passing me, didn't think it would be a problem. Here is my license and let me get my reg and insurance out of the glove box". The trooper says: "I got you doing 73 in a 65. Where are you off to so fast"? Told him off to do some diving in PA. He goes: "Ahh Dutch Springs. Nice place. I'll be right back". He goes and runs my license and comes back and wished me a safe dive and have a good day. He let me slide because he is a fellow diver and oher stuff.
So I get to Dutch Springs and meet my friends. Got a good spot and unloaded the gear. Thought to myself "Wow the bag is light today". Well I forgot my BC!!!! What else could go wrong???? I looked forward to diving today because I was going to use my new reg and BC for the first time. Run over to the Lehigh Valley dive shop and rent one. I got luck because the rental was an Oceanic Proble LX. Ahhh the I just bought.... Now I will be able to see how it was.
And the day just got better from there. Needed less weight (made me feel great). Got some great pics and videos. And had a really nice time with great people.
Just needed to tell that tale. ;)

I know exactly how you feel..
We had booked a sea dive, our first for a few months, and wouldn't you know it i woke up with a cracker of a headache. But I was STILL going dammit first dive was good but my head was sore..... second dive I surfaced and had a long swim back to the boat so the skipper bought it down to me ...
And promptly ran me over.....
It just got worse after that cause the sea picked up and it was pretty rough coming back in with a full blown migrane at that point. Got to the van for the trip home and was in so much pain I burst into tears cause the music was up loudish....
Felt like a complete sook cause I was the only female on the trip....
8 males to me... The girl
The guys were good to me though and one of them even drove me home and had someone pick him up from my place so it was a good day but I've had better...
Thanks for letting me tell someone..
Hope each dive gets better and better..
