Maintaining your own gear can be a hobby in itself. Be prepared to spend the amount you'd pay for a decent reg set-up to get the right tools and training together.

Quite frankly, if you own only a couple or regulators, I personally don't think it's worth it. High quality regs like scubapro and apeks need only major service every 18 months. It's worth it if you have at least five (5) regs or more. I can fix my own regs, but I don't think its worth the time and effort to look for single parts that may, or may not, fit.

At the very least, every diver should have these in their tool box:

1. Two (2) adjustable stainless wrenches.
2. Allen and Hex wrenches
3. Silicon or Crystal Lube grease
4. Set of Orings
5. Colgate White

I guarantee you that with the above set you will be the most popular (i.e. most abused) person on the banca.

You can go to www.scubatools.com for ALL of your tool needs. We are building a test/workbench for ourselves. It is a necessity since we are far away from any service centers. For about $2500 (USD) you'll have the ability to do it all. Good luck in your endeavors.

I rebuilt my Atomic reg the other day.. i have no parts for it, but it was leakin like a SOB! I turned the o rings around... :D so if anyone is Atomic dealer please send rebuild kit for Atomic B1Ti, first generation....
