Anyone use Eneloop style NiMH batteries in their oxygen analyzers?

I am thinking about switching most of my AA batteries to the Amazon Basics version of the Eneloops. They got good reviews on Project Farm after a year in use. The problem is that my Pocket O2 and Pocket CO are two of my remaining devices that use Alkaline AAs. Would they be fine if I switched?

Not sure if they would work (depends on how the specific gadget / analyzer model manages the 1.5V peak of alkalines vs the steady 1.2V of NiMH), but do note that AB NiMH cells are more likely now not rebranded Eneloops: I read they are now made in China, and received some of those in 2021 too.

Ikea LADDAs, however, seem to be 'Made in Japan' (bought in May 2024), so are almost certainly Eneloops; at $8 for the 4x 1900mAh ones, they are a good deal.

shouldn't be any issue. They're just using it to run the board which is very low demand.

The newer AB batteries are getting good reviews by Project Farm, and are half the price of Ikea or Eneloop. I'm going to give them a try, if I have no issues I might switch over to Enloops slowly.

That was I was thinking, I don't have any high output AA devices anymore. So I am thinking that I can switch over nearly completely. In fact I think only my AA backups need to use alkaline batteries, but I only replace those once a year.

I use lithium AAs in almost everything. They'd probably last several years in an O2 meter.
