We just executed the emed remote test for reentry into the US from Dahab, Egypt.
We carried two or three test kits per person in our party. The test was taken with remote monitoring three days prior to our last flight to the us. It is three days not 72 hour to simplify calculations with respect to time zones.
The process was relatively straight forward. You have to answer a few questions, wait for a monitor, and then execute the test. It takes another fifteen minutes for the test to be complete. You then have to wait for another monitor. It took a total of about 30 minutes to complete the test per person. It’s like a pregnancy test, one line is the test works And you are negative, two lines and you are positive.
Everyone in the group was negative.
