It's not really a question of depth but moreover a question of being permitted to dive up to the limit of one's competences. Because of the initial confusion between the differing standards, SSI vs PADI, we would have been refused the dive which would have been frustrating when you know that you already possess the appropriate certification. ..

I am glad that we finally cam e to an understanding though as it means that we can all now do the dive.

    Hi Sunn,

This is exactly the reason I persisted with the dive club, as we can see from the diagram their would be no real advantage of spending the extra money to get to Elphinstone and then being limited to 18m...

No one can guarantee Sharks at this depth whereas we can guarantee the coral on the 20m platforms. And even though 2 of my buddies are limited to 30m, I am fine with that.

Well, we had a nice Spanish Dancer down at the Arc :D. And some sharks at around 42m. Longis are for deco stops .

Yep... the end of the nothern plateau is sometimes very nice, when you see hammerheads in the blue...

and I love the arch... although the divemaster of the boat is every time angry with us because it's too deep (74 m at the bottom)
