Elapsed Dive Time

My dive computer has an Elapsed Dive Timer that can't be turned off, but could be set for something long like 3 hours which is effectivly the same as turning it off.

Do those of you with a similar feature set it for the planed Dive Time, or maybe something like 30 minutes as a reminder to check your current data?

Some operators here do a 50 minute or 50 bar rule.

On my old PDC I could set it to 0 which was off.
