El Nido

Hi,

Trying to find out if someone has any info or experience in staying / diving at Lagen Island Resort or Miniloc Island. Which of the 2 is better??

Was originally going to book a place at Club Paradise, but wifey would like to try El Nido. Just not sure which one. Are there any house reef on these 2?

i wasn't a diver yet when i went to el nido. we stayed in miniloc but lagen is more expensive (i think). so i'm assuming it's nicer there. but i still had a grand time in miniloc. you'll really feel like you're in paradise. they treat their guests like kings we had dinner in another island and the boat trip there was simply awesome with soooo much stars above us. there was some entertainment and dancing after.

miniloc has a house reef. they were offering intro lessons to guests... really can't tell how deep it was.

even just snorkeling around was fun. they got some resident jacks that zoom here and there... your generic reef fishes... and i can't remember anymore what else i saw...

Personally I think that El Nido is one of the most beautiful places I have been to in the Philippines and perhaps anywhere else. I was there about five years ago and at that time I saw a fair bit of bleaching on the coral. That said this is a paradise that is unequal. If you want to get in some great wreck diving - go just north of there to Coron Island. I spent a week diving there and was very impressed.

Thanks everyone... we'll stay be staying at Miniloc. The package that our travel agent offered is very good. She also booked us at the Bohol Palm Beach.. so oks na ren..
