Just a guess...but I thinks its a case issue. the website doesn't care if its upper or lower, the application does. Your userid is all upper case.

If that doesn't work, please email me at craig@divenav.com

It was not that, I discovered I had to remove the space from my user ID (between the D B) and change it to DB instead
Thanks

I just registered and downloaded and have been ediving around a bit at Avalon.

Some suggestions:

When I start a dive at a dive site, does the program actually download the dive site each time I visit it because it says so, or does it store it locally?

I went to the noname wreck and got stuck in it, so there are some clipping issues to work out.

The air in the BC inflates and deflates painfully slow. For fine tuning this is great but may I suggest a feature that when one holds the mouse button longer you get a faster inflate/deflate?

In the instructons it mentions that both right and left mouse buttons inflate/deflate, this is obviously wrong.

No settings to change graphic resolutions or control mappings.

The computer settings do not work.

Overall a very nice idea, keep up the good work, I'll be diving the wreck next :)

Hippocampus,
To answer your question, yes it actually downloads the dive site each time. It never stores the data on your hard drive, but in fact only stores it in RAM. Most of the other features (3d models, images, etc..) are downloaded and stored on your hard drive as they don't consume much space and are shared across multiple sites (e.g. Sheepshead are on all of the California dive sites). A check is made to see if you have the most current model and if not, it is downloaded.

As for your suggestions and observations, thank you very much. Most of them are being worked on by our engineers or artists/designers. We will get the documentation page updated quickly.

Thanks again for your support, this feedback will help us make a tool that is better for the diving community.

Dive safe and eDive often!

Glad you got it worked out. I will find out why the space in the middle isn't working and get that fixed.

Sadly, the graphics on my computer are nothing like the video you posted here .. http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/divenav/241421-casino-point-video.html
On mine (don't have that through the mask view ether) it looks like 3ft viz that does not get any clearer when getting close to something, can not make out more than indistinct shapes of kelp, or objects (I did "see" that GW though)
I know my PC is dated but I do have a good graphics card (ATI X800XT Platinum) and a 2.4 Pentium .. no fun :(

Ok, I can see now :)
Issues:
When on surface, I can see the bottom clearly, there is no water or waves
The particulate matter that drifts past you, each one is a surounded by a square box on mine
When looking up, all objects (fish, plants, etc) leave ghost trails
Notes:
When dive site is loaded (Yukon) when asked to hit "any key" to continue, if you hit the space bar it starts you on the bottom, left mouse click starts you on the surface
EDIT: that worked several times in a row, but the last time I tried it, I still started at the bottom (Yukon)
