this is per an email sent on 11-07-07:

At 118* 19' 28.69W & 33* 20' 58.78N Depth of approx 51.5' there is a Red sprite image that is not an info marker and holds no value in the area. I dont know if this was to be made into something or not but its out of place, in the wire frame mode it shows as a red line at a 45* angle in the plain of view.

Also are you planning on making users able to determine Dive Weight values and BCU Fill values in Imperial weights increments, I do not know the Metric system avidly and I think some other users will have ease in using if all forms of measurement are both in Metric and Imperial.

How is Visibility determined by the program? Does it vary based on real time elements? Is there plans to make it possible to adjust these values? Are you planning on adding features to allow users to preform Night dives at these locations as well?

Also I cannot travel on the surface of the water to get to a specific Dive location, I wanted to drop down on the Suejac from the second to last buoy as I would do in real fashion but surface travel is not working? or not integrated into the program from what I can tell from my first series of dives.

Currently I think the rendering and images are a very good beginning. Casino Point needs more Kelp, as well as images and detailed info for some of the markers located there. But a very nice series

Do you plan on adding the location of the Valiant which is located just outside of Casino Point off of the Beach? I am not sure to the N.E.W.S. Location but from the stairway it is roughly below the third Buoy to the left Outside of the park at a depth of 90-100 feet

Anything Else I find I shall report as they are discoverd

Hi,
thank you for taking the time to test eDiving.

I went there, but can't see it on my machine. Could you please send me via email a frame grab?

Dive Weights should be already either in Imperial or Metric based on how you choose it on the eDiving server control panel. I noticed that in your profile you selected Imperial so all your measurements should be in Imperial.
If you open the User Profile screen you should be able to click on either M or I under Measurement System. If you click I, then all values are converted to Imperial values.

What do You mean by BCU fill values? The string written on the top left side of the screen under the DiveNav logo? Right now we are using it for debugging the buoyancy model. We will replace it with a symbol of a BCD inflating / deflating.

How is Visibility determined by the program? Does it vary based on real time elements? Is there plans to make it possible to adjust these values? Are you planning on adding features to allow users to preform Night dives at these locations as well?

Right now we define the visibility - based on survey data - when we compile/post the virtual scene on the server. In theory we can change it daily .... manually. Plan is to figure out a way to hook real data into the database so visibility will change dynamically. We are also considering the possibility to allow the user to change - slightly - the visibility.
We can simulate nigh dives .... we just need to turn off the sun:D (we have a parameter for sun position and brightness/color
In a future release we will allow user to decide time of the dive (and so we will move the sun to the right place based on location of the dive).

Also I cannot travel on the surface of the water to get to a specific Dive location, I wanted to drop down on the Suejac from the second to last buoy as I would do in real fashion but surface travel is not working? or not integrated into the program from what I can tell from my first series of dives.

Mmhhh ... actually the diver moves on the surface, but it goes very very slow.
Will fix this BUG in next release.

THANK YOU!
We will add more marine life and animated models to this site by next release.

Actually .... we have mapped the Valiant ... so we know EXACTLY where she is. Unfortunately what you will see right now is a big rock ... shaped like a ship.
Plan is to design a 3D model of the Valiant and place it on the bottom. But before we do this we will need divers to supply us with videos and images of the Valiant that we can use to develop the 3D model. Do you know anyone who could help? Of course we are willing to compensate reasonable prices.

Would you like us to create a virtual site for the Valiant as is? Or should we wait until we have developed a 3D model of her?

Regards,
