Yeah I tried the Vegas Movie trial.. Never really liked it. I did buy the Premiere Elements, Man it is not user friendly......In the end my videos don't run smoothly so I am doing something wrong. Haven't really spent a lot of time with it yet....

I've never had a problem editing SD (720x480) AVI files in Vegas Movie Studio. I've used a number of different programs over the past 10+ years and still prefer working in Adobe Premiere (ancient version 6.0) when editing my SD footage, but use Vegas MS when editing my AVCHD files or mixing different video formats.

LOL I probably would be better off with the old version...Since the new one makes me crazy. I will try to post one here later..

The thing is all I really wanted was a way to correct the colors...Premiere was supposed to have a white balance feature. But I haven't figured it out yet. In Photoshop you use an eye dropped to decide what a tru white is in the frame and it changes it, sweet.. Still an in progress thing for me.....I found the eye dropper and need to figure out the next step....

I am shooting video with a video camera that has an underwater filter. Does your camera support an underwater filter or could you make one for use when shooting video? This might be the simple fix if they do. Power Director makes assembling the movies easy but I've not had a need to correct white balance.

Cheddar Chick...in Premeire look in the upper right hand corner where it says "Workplace", click arrow and highlight "Color Correction" that will open a myriad of options. Go to "Effect" then "Video Effects" Then "Color Correction." From there you will be presented with all kinds of options for compensate for white balance... click one and drag to your footage and adjust to taste. "RGB Curves" is always a simple one to start with..
Hope that gets you pointed in the right direction...
Don

FCP X has caught up with the times.
I don't use it for my Corporate stuff yet as there's still control issues, but it's fine for the underwater stuff.
