Hi guys...

Here in spain the newest Eclipse wing (40lbs) is by far the most common BP/wings config...i found out that a wing 30lbs lift ( i´ve used travel wings and the new OMS 30 lbs ) is more than enough for dive with a 80 or 100ft3 tank (properly weighted)..but some people think its lift is not enough to assure a good bouyancy specially while surfaced. ( in rough seas) .so i would like to hear more opinions from halcyons users of 30 or 40 lbs cells...what is the optimal wing 30 or 40?...i know a 30lbs cell have a outstanding bouyancy..has the 40 one so good caracteristics..? maybe i will get one for test soon and i would like to enquire more about them...(remember here aluminium tanks are not used..being the faber the most common brand)

Hi Guys..

A 30 Lbs or 40 Lbs lift eclipse cell???..what ´s the best unit for diving with 80-100 ft3 steel tanks?..

I dive a single Steel e8-130 Waterheater - no problems with the 35.

I think its a 35. I know it isn't the 27, or the taco 45...

I can definatly add that the E8-Waterheater and a 27# pioneer is a weee bit on the wet side. It works, but just.

Hope so --either that or the RMV is high

I would go with the 40---but I live here is Southern Ca, dive Dry, with bail out and or O2...

Do any of you guys have problems with stablizing those monsters (130's)? Do the Cam bands hold-em tight... Seems to me they would be better off being bolted on like manifolded cylinders

Wow. A lot of single E8-130's around? You guys getting into deco on these things?

Not if you plan well... ;) You just get mad bottome time.

Never an issue. I also dive dry in So Cal. I use the New (old) version of the Pioneer with the integrated STA. Never an issue. Its not like I'm shuck-jiving with the thing... I wet the bands, he-man the straps over and flop / stride in. Never a shift, no shimmy or shake. Its rock solid every time, and with the lines I wrote on my cylinder in Paint Pen, it winds up in the same place (same height) every time.
