Is there a better place to find info on eating places in Grand Cayman. I would like a forum where people can give me ideas. If I can find out here than great. I would like the top 5 most elegant, 5 most interesting, 5 most romantic, 5 best buy for the buck. Thanks.

You could always PM Drew Sailbum He lives in Grand Cayman. Ive been to Lone Star,Eats Cafe, and Cimboco. All have great food and the wait staff is good.Turtle gal

My wife enjoyed Portafino's as a romantic spot. It overlooks the Wreck of Ten Sails. Good food, good service, but as with all Cayman resturants... take plenty of money.

For elegance (translation: $$$$$) I prefer Grand Old House. Honorable mention: The Wharf, Hemingways
Interesting..The Lighthouse, The Cracked Conch
Romantic...see elegance
Buy for the buck....Chicken! Chicken! ( my personal favorite) Cimboco, The Edge.

We just bought a beach rental on the North Side of Grand Cayman. My favorite restaurants for excellent meals/atmosphere are (in order):

Kaibo Yacht Club (actually it's the upstairs part called Cecil's)
Pappagallo's
The Wharf
The Lighthouse

For cheap/excellent food, there is a little pita place (actually a shack) right next to the movie theater on 7MB. Can't remember the name of it, but it's in the same shopping center as Cimboco's. Grand Cayman has some of the best restaurants in the Carribean as far as I'm concerned... of course, I'm a bit biased!

That would be A La Kebab.

Lots of good to great choices for dining on the island. One of my favorites is The Naked Fish at the Seaview Hotel.

For cheapest eats, Lorna Woods' Jerk Chicken stand on the east end of Bodden Town serves great island fare. Only operates for dinner.

Went to the caymans for my honey moon 3 years ago and everynight we went to a pricey dinner. We are from Los Angeles and very picky. WE did not have one bad meal. The food was great. Expecially the italian place.

In addition to those previously mentioned, Chicken! Chicken! is another good place. It is in one of the shopping centers across from Seven Mile Beach. It is reasonably priced and you get lots of food. I also enjoy Crows Nest, but it is more expensive.
