A couple of years ago we were trolling for Spanish mackerel at Spanish Rocks. I saved the Sonar/GPS screen shot. We saw a legal Florida lobster. It was out of season. Just think about how far it had to walk from the Keys.

We've also seen a very nice flounder and an octopus.

The last JPG depicts the parking area. Walk south and enter the water at the house marked by the red pushpin.

The down side is with a strong westerly wing the visibility will be poor. Early in our diving we used those poorer conditions to practice our navigation skills.

Have fun

contact Scuba Jenny and hire her to do some guided shore dives in the Lauderdale area including BHB. She is a fantastic guide and has InSite into some great secret dive spots. Key Largo is a pretty good drive from the BHB area you will spend most of your time on the road. Save Key largo for some boat trips another day.
