Beautiful Nick. Love the Crab and the Anemone close-ups. Very nice stuff.

You really know how to make that 8080 sing! Razor sharp and colors that pop! So sad they stop making the 8080 8mp, the chip on the SP-350 is 8mp but the physical size is about 1/3 that of the 8080. Plus the wide SLR like lens on the 8080 is hard to beat and maybe a bit too expensive to make. Keep up the good work.

wait till we see what he can do when he houses his 330!

Awesome shots Nick! Enjoy all of them very much!

Good point, I am guessing with the picture sharpness and eye poping colors there should not be much difference between the 8080 and 330 when both are using only the prime lens (no add on close-up lens). Actually the 8080, like the other rangefinder cameras make by Leica etc. has a slight egde in image quality over the SLR/DSRs due to the fact that there are less glass elements in the lens. And the depth of field on the rangefinders is outstanding.

The SLR/DSLRs had to add an another piece of glass or two in order to make up for the space taken by the reflex mirror. The 330 will start to pull away from the 8080 when it comes the fisheye wide angles and supermacro shots due to the fact the 330 can switch to the "true" wide or marco lenses. With the 8080 we are forced on an add-on wide angle or close-up lens.

Nick does a great job in capturing the true "feeling" of the subject not too close and not too far a perfect range for the 8080, his lighting control also helps complete the package.
