I use Auro-Dri, the alcohol and glycerin stuff, but I think when I finish this bottle I'll just cook up my own alcohol mixture and put it back in the old bottle, being much cheaper that way. Only use it when I'm diving freshwater, picked it up after I got a lovely outer ear infection diving in the St. Lawrence. In saltwater, I usually just trust the salt to deal with whatever gets in there, and it doesn't seem to be as much of a problem. May change my mind if I ever get a baby jellyfish or something stuck in there, though. (I don't dive in a hood unless it's *really* cold, even in Canada) I just let it sit in there for about 30 seconds before going back upright, not the five minutes, seems to work.

Murine the eye drop people also make an ear drop solution. Not really expensive but it is small so it is easy to carry in a dive bag. I dive almost totally in salt and we get ear infections also. I notice the more I dive the more issues I have with ears.
