I've always had problems with my ears and now with all the pressure (which I don't have trouble equalizing) and all the water, I have a lot of trouble draining my ears after the dives. I didn't know if there were any tricks (besides walking around with my head crooked at odd angles) or any medications that would help the process. Any tips would help! My BF and I go tomorrow for the Open Water half of our certification process! (It'll be at a local rock quarry that we've heard great stories about) Can't wait.
Thanks!

this will probably get moved- but for the record- while this is still in Non-Diving Section, I will take a jab at it. Doc- ingore this :)

My ears are a nuisence to me too. I think I have failed every school hearing test since I was in second grade. My just fool me. Somebody says something, my ears decied, "No, Zack, don't hear that- hear this!!!" and then I carry on the conversation until I notice the wierd look on the person's face. "Where the hell did that come from?!?" "Oh, well, I thought you said so and so!!" "Are you deaf?!?! From where did you get so and so out of yadda yadda?! I worry about you, Zack."

it's just not fair that my ears have a mind of their own.

Juuussst keepin' my fingers moving on the keyboard- that's all .

If you have 'always had problems with your ears', you'd be much better off checking with DAN's non-emergency medicine number. Check www.diversalertnetwork.org

I just use AuroDry or Swimmers Ear after every dive and don't have clogged ears. But then again, I do not have any other problems or issues with my ears.

You can also have your ears checked by a local ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat doctor).
