Okay- having a little trouble posting this so I apologize if this is the second posting-

My boyfriend and I recently returned from Indonesia. We both got ear infections while we were there and both saw doctors (one in Lombok and one in Indonesia).

We were given different medications
he received 'Otosporin' in Lombok and then I received 'Otopain' in Bali. We were also put on antibiotics.

However, it appears my ear problem has returned... not the 'clogged' sensation, but the pain... and yesterday I had a VERY mild case of Vertigo for a couple of minutes on top of it (I have had Vertigo b4 and this is NOTHING compared with what I have experienced so I don't even know if it is worth mentioning).

And I am wondering if one of the ear drops are better than the other- for my symptoms.
The 'Otopain', (the one I took b4) has:
'Polimiksin B Sulfat- 10,000 IU
'Neomisin Sulfat'- 5 mg
'Fludrokortison asetat'- 1mg
'Lidokain HCI'- 40 mg...

While the 'Otosporin' has:
'Polymyxin B sulphate BP'- 10,000 units
'Neomycin Sulphate BP'- 3,400 units
'Hydrocortisone Acetate BP'- 10 mg

Any idea which is better for this issue I am having now??

I am sure one of the medical pros here will be along to comment soon. I certainly could not...

I have had a few ear infections, when I failed to use alcohol in my ears after each dive. I am learning, over and over.

Good luck with yours...!!
