I have not done this myself, but one month ago while staying in NAD Lembeh another guest and his wife extended their 30-day visa to a 60-day.

It seemed quite simple; they both went to the immigration office in Manado along with a member of staff from NAD. After a short 1 hour visit they both returned with extended visas.

I would suggest you talk to the staff in the place you are staying.

Actually it seems as of Jan 2023 you can extend the eVoA online very easy. Was much more difficult before.

Ok full disclaimer I am not expert nor can I guarantee that the info I am sharing is fully correct especially with the new e-visa rules and the fact that Indonesia is non stop changing things but having done many many many visa extensions in Indonesia this is what I know.

If your original entry visa was an e-visa then yes Indonesia has finally made it easier to extend your 30 day e-visa for another 30 days giving you 60 days total. After that you will need to do a visa run to KL or something.

If you entered on a regular VOA, business visa, social visa, etc. etc. then you need to extend you visa it the regular way. Having done this probably 20+ times I can tell you its much much easier and total worth it to just pay an immigration service to do it for you. Usually cost about 800k-1jt. (the actual visa extension fee is already 500k so essentially your only paying 300k for the service) and its worth every penny. Trust me I have done it myself and for $20 extra just pay someone to do it for you. It involves filling out the extension application hoping you did it right then going to immigration trying to find out where to go and who to talk to. Turn in your application and passport then just hope that someone will contact you in a several days saying it ready. Then go back to immigration when they tell you they are ready for fingerprints and photo so you go there trying to figure out where to do this. Then they tell you ok couple more days. Sit and wait for them to contact you to finally go and collect you passport with your extension.

Or you can have a visa agency do everything for you and when they are ready for fingerprint and photo they will call you, someone will meet you/escort you through immigration. Usually get to skip the lines and only have to wait a couple minutes to get your fingerprints and photo then the agency will delivery your passport back to you when you have your extension.

Also if you have a business visa etc. and your doing multiple extensions thankfully you only need to do the fingerprints and photo for the initial extension after that you just need to have your immigration agent extend your visa which does not require you to be present and can all be done by them.

Back to the good old days.

We just updated our page again:

Do I need a sponsor for tourist 60 day visa?

Thanks
As far as I know not for the visa for tourism for 60 days. But you have to give at least one address of the accommodation you will stay. Probably it shows if you go through the online process step by step.

Success for me - 60-day visa issued while online. Easy to complete.

No Success - second family member, the site did not generate the registration confirmation email, no visa

Success, we both have online "e*visa, 211A, 60 day visa"

Not the easiest process

Payment worked with Citi Visa requiring a text verification from their processor
